Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) (Coming Soon)

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a cross-disciplinary area defined by the International Labour Organization and the World Health Organization (WHO) as a standard to promote and maintain the physical, social, and mental condition of any workers in any occupation.

As people are the lifeblood of any organization, at Newbie Tech we believe it is critical to support physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing at the workplace. To assist with this, we provide OSH-compliant e-learning training programs for employers, HR managers, and employees.

OSH protects workers from harm and health risks caused by their occupations or work environment, understanding that safe and healthy working conditions are not only a legal and moral requirement, but also that businesses thrive when their employees are protected.

In recent years, the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Administration expanded its role to protect workers’ mental health as well as physical health. This was in response to the rise in unintentional workplace overdoses and death by suicide that contributed to workplace fatalities.

There are many psychosocial risk factors at the workplace that can impact organizational health, the health of individual employees, and the financial bottom line, which we aim to address through Newbie Tech’s platform and services.

To mitigate these risk factors and support physical, mental and emotional wellbeing at the workplace, we provide OSH-compliant e-learning training programs for employers, HR managers, and employees.

Our Vision

Our vision is to positively impact organizational health, the health of individual employees, and the financial bottom line.

Our Mission

Our mission is to be a leading OSH training provider in Malaysia, delivering accredited e-learning programs for employers, HR managers and employees to comply with Malaysian and international standards.

Industry-leading, accredited trainers

Our training programs are delivered by trainers accredited under a range of Malaysian and international OSH certification programs, including Vision Zero, and certifications offered by CIDB Holdings and DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia).

  • Vision Zero is an organization that takes a transformative approach to OSH, developed by the International Social Security Association (ISSA), the world’s leading international organization for social security institutions, government departments and agencies.
The “Vision Zero” approach integrates the three dimensions of safety, health and well-being at all levels of work. According to Vision Zero, international research on the return on investments in prevention proves that every dollar invested in safety and health generates a potential benefit of more than two dollars in positive economic effects. In other words, healthy working conditions contribute to healthy business. The ISSA’s Vision Zero concept is flexible and can be adjusted to the specific safety, health or well-being priorities for prevention in any given context, at any workplace.
  • DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia) issues certificates of competency to individuals and firms with the necessary qualifications, experience, expertise, and knowledge in the relevant fields as required by the Act and regulations. The Department recognises a wide range of fields of competencies, across manufacturing and construction, and well as knowledge industries.
  • CIDB Holdings is wholly owned by CIDB Malaysia (Construction Industry Development Board), a statutory body under the Ministry of Works, and offers a range of training & certification programmes to support the safety and health of workers in the development and construction sectors.
